05 Mar HOSTEL SÓLLER – CA SES MADRINES: AWARD FOR THE YOUTH HOSTEL WITH THE MOST BEAUTIFUL INTERIOR IN SPAIN
The youth hostel Hostel Sóller – Ca Ses Madrines participated in the annual meeting of directors of the Spanish youth hostel network REAJ. There they were awarded with the prize for the “Youth hostel with the most beautiful interior design in Spain”. Hostel Sóller prevailed in terms of design, architecture and decoration.
The youth hostel opened in 2017 and is located in the historic center of Sóller and has been home to many young people, hikers and athletes of all kinds ever since.
The event took place in Alicante on October 2nd, 3rd and 4th, in collaboration with the Valencian Institute of Youth (IVAJ). There were more than a hundred local hostel managers present, as well as experts, politicians and representatives of hostel associations from other countries such as Portugal, Italy, France and the Czech Republic.
The attendees participated in 3 intense conferences, in which topics of general interest and benefit for the daily operations and improvement of hostel facilities were discussed. In addition, during the night of October 3, the II Edition of the REAJ Awards was held, with the main objective of recognizing the daily work and effort made by the hostels of the Network throughout the year:

- Initiative for best accessibility
- Innovation recognition
- Hostel with the most beautiful interior
- Preferred hostel by guests
Sóller Hostel – Ca Ses Madrines received the “Youth Hostel with the most beautiful interior” award. The modernist building dates from 1920. During the restoration in 2017, it was particularly taken care of maintaining the architectural and decorative elements, thereby preserving the originality of the house while still offering guests the necessary comfort. The hostel is located in the beautiful town of Sóller, a comfortable and easily accessible place, perfect for hikers, athletes and lovers of the Tramuntanta region. The hostel aims to promote local culture and mountain sport, as it is located in GR221 – Ruta de sa Preda en sec.
